| Theory of Multiple Intelligences holds that intelligence is diverse ratherthan single for each individual. Since it was proposed by American educator--Howard Gardner, Theory of Multiple Intelligences has attracted wideattention from scholars and educators at home and abroad, which hasbecome the favorite of the education sector. In education, the developmentof Theory of Multiple Intelligences gradually have formed "Studentconcept""education concept" and " Evaluation concept ", which aredifferent from the traditional concept of education. These new ideas andconcepts of education lead teachers to educate and guide the students, aswell as make teaching activities effective and meaningful. Criticizing thetraditional elite education thought, mass education, Theory of MultipleIntelligences believe that each person all the " intelligence" is equal inaspect of education, teaching should depend on education ideas under theTheory of Multiple Intelligences, which play Theory of MultipleIntelligences teaching role in the use of diverse teaching methods to improveclassroom teaching effectively and all-round development of students truly.Teaching behavior are teaching methods and skills with the teachingaim which are presented by teachers in the classroom teaching activities.Teachers’ behavior can be presented through these teaching activitiessignificantly, but also implicit teaching behavior--feelings, ideas, morals andthe will. In teaching activities, these invisible teaching behavior will affectthe ways teachers implement explicit teaching behavior, and relate toteaching effect. Therefore, teachers hold teaching concept and ideas thatdirectly affect the implementation and effectiveness of classroom teaching and learning activities. One of influence of Theory of Multiple IntelligencesEducation is reflected in the behavior of the teacher in the classroom.Therefore, this study focuses on high school English classroom teachingbehavior (such as organizational skills, attention centers, teaching attitude,teaching wit, teaching realm) to investigate the present situation of highschool English classroom teaching behavior to analyze the survey results.On the one hand, to survey English classroom teaching behavior in theregion are affected by Theory of Multiple Intelligences advocated teachingideas or not; on the other hand, hoping the findings of this research analysiswill be able to draw diverse classroom teaching intelligent new thought andnew ideas, while in some way providing meaningful experience for thetheory of multiple intelligence through the study of theory and research inthe English classroom teaching,in addition, for thought of quality educationand new curriculum reform. |
