Research On The Application Of The Theory Of Multiple Intelligences In Primary School English Teaching

In 1983, after many years of hardworking, Howard Gardner, a famous Professorof Education at Harvard Graduate School of Education USA, published hisground-breaking "Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences." In thisbook, Gardner holds that every human possesses several distinct intellectual faculties(rather than a singe trait called "intelligence"), each with its own way of developingand operating. This is a milestone of his theory of Multiple Intelligences, whichfunctions as one of the basic theories of the contemporary educational reform in USA,and it has profoundly influenced the American Education both in theories and practice.We can also find a lot of theoretical similarities in the ideas in our Chinesefundamental Education reform as well as the new curriculum reform, which is clearlystated in the document of "The essentials of Chinese Fundamental Education".
