The new curriculum reform emphasizes that teaching should be based on the people, students play thedominant role in learning, teaching requires changing the way of teachers’ teaching and students’ learningstyles, to promote independent learning. The new curriculum is more concerned about the ability ofstudents to a variety of cultures, the formation of the overall quality, attention to student lifelong learning,lifelong development. Therefore mobilizing the enthusiasm and initiative of students, enable students todevelop independent learning habits, with self-learning ability, has become the focus of our attention.Therefore, training and inspire students’ self-learning behavior appear particularly important.Teaching of biology in Senior biology is the important way to master biological science knowledge, Itraises the student basic biological quality, strict scientific attitude, and plays an irreplaceable important rolein science spirit aspects. We went to develop the students’ autonomous learning ability in teaching ofbiology in senior school in New Curriculum, for one thing, open consciousness and democraticconsciousness appear outstanding.for another, playing the main role of the students, Mining students’autonomous learning potential, and developing the students’ autonomous learning ability,can improve theefficiency of learning biology.Through reading of literature, I described the research status of autonomous learning, and summarizedthe main concept of autonomous learning and autonomous learning ability. Starting from analysis of thecharacteristics of high school biology textbooks of new curriculum reform and the psychologicalcharacteristics of high school students and investigation on situation of autonomous learning, I’m going tostudy the effects of the cultivation of students’ autonomous learning ability on learning efficiencyI use my classes to put up control experiments, in which a class as an experimental class, a class as thecontrol classes. I will apply autonomous learning in experimental class, pay attention to the cultivationof students’ autonomous learning ability, In order to compared with experimental class, I will not make anyexperiment s in conventional teaching classes. In one semester experiment, I used the experimental method,questionnaires, action research and other methods of experimental procedures and results were analyzed.The results showed that students self-learning ability in the teaching of biology, can have a significantimpact on improving student achievement. Experimental class students were more strongly interested in biological knowledge than ever before, awareness of autonomous learning biology was enhanced, thestudents’ autonomous learning ability has been improved. Because students are actively learning biologyknowledge, construct knowledge framework, understand and grasp the core of biological knowledge,Study result is significantly improved learning efficiency is significantly improved.
