We are currently at a high speed development of information technology andnetwork technology era. It is particularly important to improve students’ applicationability of information and enhance the students’ information literacy. Openinginformation technology courses in junior middle school fully adapts to the requirementsof the time. In recent years, with the deepening implementation of new curriculumstandard, research about teaching methods has been extended more widely.Action-oriented teaching as a new teaching method has attracted numerous informationtechnology teachers’ attention. It advocates ‘activity oriented’, with ability as thestandard" and reflects the students’ ability of autonomous learning. The studentsconstantly solve practical problems in the process of discussion and other activities, thusto improve the level of their information technology application and the effectiveness ofclassroom teaching. It stimulates students’ creative ability and develops their key abilityof information technology.This topic mainly elaborates the action-oriented teaching method applied in juniormiddle school information technology classroom teaching. It explores the new teachingmethod in depth. The purpose is to find a more suitable method for junior middle schoolinformation technology teaching through teaching practice and research and develop thestudents’ key ability of information technology and serve their future study anddevelopment. This paper, through the study of literature theory of action orientedmethod and further from junior high school students information literacy cultivation,analyzes the current status of the junior middle school information technology teachingand puts forward the application of action-oriented teaching method in junior middleschool information technology teaching strategies and teaching process. Combined withyears’ teaching experience in junior high school information technology, I adopt theexperimental approach and made a more in-depth exploration and practice inaction-oriented teaching method applied in the junior middle school informationtechnology class. I conduct questionnaires before experiments、 set up study groups andanalyze a variety of application cases of action-oriented teaching method in classroom and the change of students critical ability after the experiments. The results show thatthe action-oriented teaching method in junior middle school information technologyteaching improves students’ key ability of information technology and is worthreference and promotion.This article introduces the concept of key ability based on the junior high schoolinformation technology, and analyzes and expounds its four indexes. In the teachingexperiments, the four indexes stand for the dependent variable. Through the experiment,from the questionnaire survey, school test and the quantitative evaluation of teachers’from three aspects and analysis of experimental results, the research provides strongempirical basis. In action-oriented teaching, the design of action-oriented teaching modeis based on activities before class by default, activities in class, strategies of three levelsof after-class evaluation in teaching, therefore, the flow chart of the teaching is formedand makes the experiment more practical and extensive. This paper is based on theteaching practice and details the practical application of the action-oriented teaching, it’smainly in the form of Task-based Teaching Method, Project-based Learning, Case Study,while Role-playing method and brainstorming are applied at the right time. Theorganization of the teaching activities of has experienced the test of practical application;its effective experiment is more convincing.
