In the background of the new curriculum reform, how will the information technology coursesbe effectively implemented to accomplish the transition from primary school to high school andpromoting the students’ information literacy is the information technology’s objective. Meantimeusing what teaching way or methods to promote the students’ problem solving ability, independentinquiry learning ability, collaborative learning ability, which is the information technologyteachers face. How to improve students’consciousness and ability to solve problems andindependent inquiry ability and cooperative ability, using traditional methods and demo methodsis limited. So this research used problem teaching in information technology class to discuss therole that problem teaching improve students’information literacy , to offer the teachers guidanceand reference.The research applies problem teaching in the class teaching of information technology. It notonly carries the necessary reasoning and teaching practice. It plays the advantage of problemteaching sufficiently and reaches the objective of improving the information literacy. Theresearch is divided into five parts: The first part is the theoretical basis. On the basis of extensivereading of lots of documents, the author discussed related theory of problems teaching in thispaper. And the paper expounds the research background, significance and the status quo. On thebasis of past research, this paper makes sure the research Angle; The secondary part is thepractical investigation. Using questionnaire and interview to investigate the teaching situationabout problem teaching in the information technology of the teachers angle, meantime theresearch also investigate students’attitudes. At last it comes to the necessity and feasibility ofproblem teaching applied in the class teaching of the information technology; the third part is theteaching case design, Select appropriate teaching contents to analyse and design specific processaccording to the problems of the teaching process. The forth part is the analysis of experimentprocess and results analysis. Select students of Shenyang junior high school as testees, use theexperimental methods which is the single-group pre-test to operate the case, and take good notesin the process of experiment, at last collect the data in the experiment and meta-analysis. Thefifth part is the experimental results, the conclusion shows that problem teaching reflects theteaching idea of the new curriculum reform, can promote students’ comprehensive ability andinformation literacy, also can promote the information technology teaching development.Using problem teaching in information technology can promote students’information literacy.Also it’s helpful to motivate students’ interest in learning, to promote students’ ability to solve problems and to cultivate students’ ability of independent inquiry and collaborative learning.Problem teaching has certain role in information technology curriculum reform.Although problem teaching plays a great role in cultivating students’ different quality. Butbecause of Time and energy limited, the present situation investigation is not comprehensive.Some analysis is not enough. The scope of application is not big enough. In future study andwork, the author will make further research in such shortages.
