China’s "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" put forward early childhood education is thefoundation of life-long education, preschool will be incorporated into the compulsoryeducation stage. In the realization of a comprehensive early childhood development, preschool physical education plays an important role, plays an active role in advancing thepeople’s quality of education.Using the research methods of expert interview, on-the-spot investigation andquestionnaire, the conclusion is drawn as following: The sports activities are relatively scareand short of fresh. There is no specialized PE content offered in connection with thedevelopment of children’s physical qualities. Concretely, the contents are repetitive; the focusis only on the children’s physical development and the effects of PE teaching contents onchildren’s intelligence. The kindergartens lack of professional preschool PE teachers. Thecurrent teachers’ sports knowledge is insufficient; their teaching methods are one-dimensional;they don’t have the ability to enrich and improve the PE teaching contents according to thechildren’s physical development. As a result, the lack of scientific and innovation aretriggered in preschool PE teaching. In addition, the gender imbalance in teachers is huge. Thestudy aims at these problems; takes the current actual situation of PE teaching as fact;integrates the theory of "the zone of proximal development", human motor development andthe sensitive period of child motor development; develops the current preschool PE teachingcontents; with the experimental teaching method, tests the validity of the contents developedin the kindergartens. After two-month experimental teaching, the conclusion is drawn asfollowing: the PE teaching contents developed according to the theory of "the zone ofproximal development", human motor development and the sensitive period of child motordevelopment have a positive impact on the development of the qualities of sensitivity, flexibility, coordination, balance and strength of the children in the bottom class, the middleclass, and the top class of kindergarten. It shows that the program developed can developchildren’s’ physical qualities and can be popularized.
