Senior high school geography textbook is an important carrier and resource of senior high school geography teaching. The problems in geography textbook activities are the necessary components of textbook activities. But on the whole, there are few researches on the activity question design in the fifth edition of the new high school geography textbooks in China, and what are the characteristics of the new textbooks in question design? Is it self-consistent?How teachers should further adapt to and use textbooks, and how textbook revisers can further improve the problem design of textbooks are still to be studied and perfected. Therefore, starting from the problem design of "activity" in the new high school geography textbooks, this paper studies the characteristics of the problem design of "activity" in the five new high school geography textbooks in China by using literature research method, statistical method, case analysis method and action research method. Then the activities of high school textbooks are implemented and redesigned, and based on their feedback, the suggestions of activity teaching and textbook revision are put forward. This paper first summarizes the previous studies on the problem design of various disciplines, and then makes a horizontal comparison of the problem design of "activity" in the five editions of high school geography textbooks by selecting the corresponding dimensions according to the previous experience. Most of the typical activity cases involved are selected for implementation and the feedback is summarized. Finally, according to the content of the first two points summed up the high school geography textbook activity design teaching suggestions. The research results mainly include:1.The five new high school geography textbooks have their own characteristics in the design of activity questions:(1)the number of activity questions is Hunan edition > Shandong edition > People's Education edition > Shanghai edition > Chinese map edition.(2)The expression mode of activity question design is mainly declarative, and the sentence pattern combination of Shanghai edition and Hunan Edition is rich and varied.(3)The openness of problem design is mainly characterized by problem solving and problem evaluation, and there are different degrees of good problem chains in problem design, which meet the teaching requirements of constructing problem chains required by the curriculum standard. But there are still some problem design situations skipping.2.Different types of core literacy questions are designed in all the five editions of textbooks, and the number of required volume II is more than that of required Volume I,especially in the design of man-land coordination questions.Hunan edition and Shanghai edition have more types of questions than other editions in number and breadth.3.In the goal orientation and content of the problem design, the action verbs of problem design in the Humanities edition and Shanghai edition are more measurable.People's education edition,Shandong edition and map edition more emphasis on theoretical knowledge examination,Shandong edition and Shanghai edition more emphasis on geographical skills examination,Hunan edition more emotional objectives.4.Some suggestions on activity teaching of "activity" problem design in high school geography textbooks are provided :(1)to strengthen the measurability of action verbs in activity problem design;(2)improve the expression form of activity problem design, strengthen the correspondence with the curriculum standard;(3)Increase the setting of open questions and improve the design of question chain.
