The foundation education course reform includes the changes of the curriculum structure, the establishment of the curriculum standard, and the development and utilization of the curriculum resources, which is one of the most important content in the curriculum construction. Textbook is not only the most important curriculum resources in school education, but also an important symbol in measuring the level of the foundation education of a nation or a region. Therefore, to strengthen the construction of the pilot textbook seems to be important and urgent. The nation promulgated the geography curriculum standard (pilot) in the common senior high school in 2003, which provided the basis for compiling geography textbooks in common senior high school. On this ground, Beijing (People's Education Press, Beijing Normal University), Hunan and Shandong compiled Geography pilot Textbook for high school in new curriculum standard, sharing 4 sets, and were published by People's Education Press, Sino Maps Press, Hunan Educational Press and Shandong Educational Press. These textbooks were used in the experiment areas (Canton, Hunan, Shandong and Ningxia) firstly in September 2005. So far, the new curriculum in high school has covered 10 provinces. The four sets of pilot textbooks have already been used in these areas and have become the teachers' and the students' important materials. On basis of absorbing the other experts' researches and reviewing the past, present and future tendency of geography textbook changing in our country, I discover the Human geography part has changed a lot in geography textbooks for high school in recent years, in both selecting the teaching content and the presenting way. Therefore, I make the comparative research of four sets of geography textbooks in Human Geography in the new curriculum, in three aspects, organizing structure, selecting the teaching content and presenting way. I make a comparison between the new curriculum standard and the textbooks item by item, to see the commonness and the differences between the four sets of textbooks, embody the new curriculum standard, and make my conclusion, expecting to have some effects for the following research of others.
