How to change the traditional teaching concept and teaching methods is crucialfor revolution of history course in our country. The revolution of England andAmerica about history course is advanced than China; they had put forward newmethod and new theory in reality. In order to prompt the connection with theinternational, at the same time to learn their experience and their progressive theory,we must acquaintance their teaching method and research it so that we can putforward the direction of history course revolution.“Historical empathy” is one of the historical teaching theories which have beentaken into account by English pounds in recent years, it came from about sixties andseventies in20th century in England, and we get it in about nineties. It was used inteaching, means how to deserve history situation and how to think about history, andhow to understand thought of historical figures of their motions, motivations andintentions, in that way, the student can judge a history figures objectively. Thismethod can motivate the interest of learning and cultivate the thought of historical, itcan also make student learning on their own initiative and explore new learningmethods.“Historical empathy” theory had existed in our country for a short time, so it hasmore space for its developing. How to apply into practice is a new issue and directionabout history teaching. In my research, I try to discuss the origin and its developmentprocess of “Historical empathy” and how to put into practice in teaching based onnew theory. My article mainly discuss the concept of “Historical empathy” and theteaching methods of “Historical empathy”, in addition, how to put it into use and howto make a perfect teaching design.My discussing all based on the theory and practiceof “Historical empathy”.
