Study On The Development And Utilization Of Local Resources For Ideological And Political Theory Teaching

The new round reform for the Ideological and Political Theory curriculum means opportunities of, as well as challenges to the development of course.In this context, development and utilization of local resources for Ideological and Political Theory teaching gradually gets researchers’ attention. Holding full investigations on local teaching resources for the course, analyzing the necessity and feasibility, giving solutions to the challenges, and studying on the laws and patterns contributes to the effectiveness of development and utilization of local teaching resources and the reform of the Ideological and Political Theory curriculum as well.The local teaching resources of Ideological and Political Theory curriculum are resources that have been developed and utilized or will be developed or utilized in order to serve the objectives of ideological and political education, and be applied in the class teaching and practice teaching. The resources reflect the situation of local economy, society and culture, and have the features of locality, reality, diversity, education and convenience. Some views of Marxism, modern theory of education and ecology of education serve as theoretical basis of development and utilization of local resources for the Ideological and Political Theory teaching. And the problems in the teaching of the course and the needs of college students are the realistic reasons for development and utilization of local teaching resources.In the course of development and utilization, the principles of purposiveness, reality, pertinence and innovation should be followed. The course of local resources developing and utilizing is quite complex, and there are four main problems in the course, which are lack of the awareness of local resources developing and utilizing, insufficient funds, lag in technology and poor cooperation between different institutes. The causes to the problems above are lag in theoretical research, lack of initiative, dependence on government for fund, fund waste, ignorance of the need of students, lack of professionals, lack of coordination mechanism and ignorance of responsibilities. Government, colleges and universities, as well as colleges teachers should make efforts to guarantee local resources developing and utilizing. And the measures of local resources developing and utilizing, which are building up teaching base outside campus, developing localized teaching materials and promoting cooperation between colleges and universities, should be taken.
