Primary and secondary school students are still in the immature stage of world outlook, outlook on life and values. Their moral behavior and moral understanding has not been formed. In this situation, strengthening moral education in primary and secondary schools, to give students proper guidance is especially important. The daily life in school infiltrate moral education, moral reward is one of the most commonly used methods in moral education. However, in the practice of moral education in primary and middle schools, many teachers misunderstand the reward and application which lead to the moral reward cannot play its proper role correctly. Even in recent years, some scholars discussed negative effect of moral reward and criticize abuse of reward. That lead to a lot of confusion of using reward.How to play the role of moral reward in the moral education practice is worth to discuss and be treated with caution. This article obtains from the definition of moral reward, mainly discusses the specific performance and mistakes in practice of moral reward and having in-depth discussion of how to effectively apply moral reward in primary and secondary schools, so as to provide reference for the primary and secondary school moral education work smoothly.
