Research On Comprehensive Evaluation And Development Strategy Of University Science Park

In knowledge economy era, knowledge creation and scientific achievementcommercialization are the main approaches to boost technological innovation andeconomic development. As one of the main forms in accelerating scientific achievementcommercialization, University Science Park (USP) is becoming an important platformfor high-tech industry incubating, talent cultivation, regional economy development andindustry improvement. USP is also an important component of the state innovationsystem, and plays a significant role in promoting the industrial structure improvement,boosting national economy growth and building modern industries. Therefore, the studyof USP has aroused increasing academic interest.Many USPs are emerging all across our nation, the number of national USPs and local USPs is increasing constantly, and the development of USPs is taking shape. How toevaluate these USPs and take the successful operation experience for reference in strategy making, are the main questions to be solved.This paper selects the Kunshan Innovation Institute of Xidian University as theresearch object. By using the research method of qualitative and quantitative analysis,comparative analysis, integration of theory with practice, the paper proposes adevelopment strategy for Kunshan Innovation Institute of Xidian University.Firstly, by means of literature reviewing, field research, questionnaire analysis, acomprehensive evaluation index system for USP is constructed. And the index systeminvolves34targets that are classified into five dimensions.Secondly, on the basis of the index system constructed above, a synthesizecomparison is conducted between the Research Institute of Tsinghua University, CNV,Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park and the Kunshan Innovation Institute of XidianUniversity.Finally, the grey correlation degree of Kunshan Innovation Institute and the threetypical USPs by grey correlation analysis is calculated, the development strategy andspecific advice are proposed for Kunshan Innovation Institute of Xidian University.
