Abstract:As educators develop a more profound understanding of the concept of new curriculum reform, the teaching of physics frontier knowledge is now considered more and more important by people. There are, both educators and experts engaged in teaching research, an increasing number of people start researching the teaching of physics frontier knowledge promoting the new curriculum reform.In this paper, on the basis of a lot of literature of the teaching of physics frontier knowledge, I have studied the compulsory education new curriculum standard and the new revision of the junior middle school physics teaching materials, compiled physics frontier knowledge in the current middle school physics teaching materials and analyzed their characteristics and educational purposes. Meanwhile, both questionnaire survey method and interview survey method have been applied to research on teaching knowledge situation of junior high school physics teachers from different regions in this article, analyzed some present problems of the teaching of physics frontier knowledge in the junior middle school. Based on the zone of proximal development theory, the random access instruction theory and Learning motivation theory in pedagogy and psychology, according to the actual situation of junior middle school students and the school, this paper proposed some teaching principles for the teaching of physics frontier knowledge in the junior middle school and operable teaching methods, which can be used to guide the teaching practice research.In order to record differences in various fields between the students who accept the teaching of physics frontier knowledge and others who don’t, a contrast test which lasted almost two terms was conducted by some methods of observation and test. I proved the effectiveness of the proposed teaching principles and operable teaching methods by self-review teaching behavior and combining with other physical teachers’ views and opinions. In conclusion, this paper summarized some positive effects for the developments of students and teachers by the teaching of physics frontier knowledge in the junior middle school.
