Homework is the matter that the students independently use and personallyexperience the process of knowledge and skills, under the guidance of the teacher. Itnot only can deepen students understanding of basic knowledge, but also helps toform skilled skills and develop the students thinking ability. It is an important windowof information communication between teachers and students. For a long time,senior mathematics teaching with a strong tendency of test, students and teachersburden is extremely heavy. The homework burden is a major aspect of the burden ofstudents and teachers. Our school mathematics group from2004began to studyschool-based homework, and begin to build our own item bank, and constantlyadjust and perfect each year. At the beginning, the mathematics homework of thehigh three students in our school focus on the extracurricular material, andschool-based homework is complementary. Gradually developed into school-basedhomework is major homework. Hope that through my research, better grasp theessence of school-based homework, so that I make better use of school-basedhomework in the future teaching. Also hope that through my research, furtherimprove the design and correcting of school-based homework. For the school-basedhomework I will contribute a bit.In this article, through the study of literature and my own teaching experience,about the design of mathematics homework, I extracted three principles: Pertinenceprinciple, Timeliness principle, Progressive principle. About the correcting ofmathematics homework Mathematics homework, I extracted three principles:Normative principle, Timeliness principle, Incentive principle. Based on the studentsquestionnaires and interviews to students and teachers, and my experience in designof homework and corrections of students papers to find the students in our schoolthere are two major problems at present:1. Dependence on teachers, lack ofinitiative;2. Method is not appropriate to do their homework, the performance is:Dont review before doing their homework, refer to the textbook or notes while doingtheir homework, mechanical imitation. Focus on others when they do their homework, have no long time concentrating. Analysis of the status of seniormathematics homework design in our school:1. Pay attention to the layered, andstrive to being targeted;2. Pay attention to the ability, and strive to effectiveness;3.Solid foundation, and strive to easing the burden and increasing the efficiency. Atpresent, the situation of the mathematics homework’s correcting is, correcthomework of all, spend a lot of time and energy. Under the principle of design andcorrecting, aimed at the status quo, explore the school-based homework designstrategy:1.In the design of the homework, strengthen the cultivation of the studentslearning habits;2. Further stratification;3. Strengthen the effectiveness of homeworkcorrection. The strategy of the mathematics homework’s correcting is, How tocorrect the double-based homework; How to correct tough homework; How tocorrect the homework on vacation.
