In recent years, in the wake of the new curriculum reform, the traditional historyeducation has been confronted with overwhelming challenges, the subjectivity status ofstudents reinforces, and curriculum diversification urges history teachers to enrich thecontents as well as teaching methods of the courses. Since the Oral History came intobeing, the popular historical view, dialogic mode of research overturned the traditional way,and has established a brand-new field and perspective in history research. Along with itsown development and distinctive features, Oral History caught the attention of historyteachers, and they endeavored a trial in history teaching. Western countries took a lead, andit has proved to be a huge success. With the spread of Oral History education worldwide,the brand-new concept has been applied into the history education in China. On the basis oforal history theory research and teaching analysis, the writer attempts to apply oral history teaching tovarious course development, which includes normal senior high school history class, school-orientedhistory course, research-based study employing different methods as well as community service coursein the way of doing activities. The whole process is under the guidance of objective-driven teachingwith the focus on comprehension, assessment-based learning as well as the three-step history learningmode ‘knowing-understanding-analyzing’ in senior high school. For the past year, the author hassorted out and studied the previous research materials in the field of oral history teaching and also comeup with a variety of tables and sheets used in research for students, both of which are proved effective.
