A Study On Oral History Teaching In Middle School In The U.S.

The history education attaches great importance to students' inquiry activity.The oral history teaching as a kind of students' autonomous inquiry teaching method has formed a set of relatively complete in-class and after-class teaching system.By analyzing the general situation of the development of oral history after the 1950 s,oral history research all the time development,the characteristics of oral history teaching practice put forward proposals to our country.This paper first discusses the teaching of oral history from the 1990 s and 1950 s,the development situation of present complete teaching cases,and puts forward Suggestions on middle school oral history teaching in China,this article will analysis from the following three parts.The first part,it discusses that oral history was developing in the 50 s and 60 s of the 20 th century in American middle school.In the social background of the cold war and cassette tape recorder,students mainly investigate the elder of the community.The second part,the economic crisis and electronic recording equipment promote oral history in 70 s and 90 s.students investigate mainly major historical events.Select the two periods of the 20 th century 50 s to 60 s,because the oral history teaching are development periods.It can be more targeted to the oral history teaching in China.The third part,present two case in oral history teaching in middle schools in the United States,let readers to understand the specific operation process in the oral history teaching in middle schools.The forth part,first introduced the basic situation in oral history teaching in middle schools in our country,and from teaching resources,teaching and school-based curriculum three Suggestions,etc.
