It is more obvious that students in senior high school tend to be ofsignificantly different levels. And with the development of the newcurriculum, how students in senior high school in rural areas are moreinterested in English is a problem and how to improve English scores isconcerned by everyone in senior high school in rural areas. So it is necessaryfor the teachers of rural areas to do some research.After analyzing the current situation of English teaching in her school andstudying about the reform practice in China and other countries, the authordecided to go on the experiment on Multi-level teaching mode in her Englishclass.The purpose of the thesis is to improve the current situation of English byapplying Multi-level teaching mode to English teaching in class eight, gradetwo, in Qingshuihe County. And in order to find out the effect, the authorchose its parallel class seven as the controlled class. The experiment lasted forone year. Before and after the experiment, two test papers (pre-test andpost-test) were used to check the performances of students. In the mean time,a questionnaire on English learning was also used in the study to checkstudents`learning situation. According to the experiments, based on thepremises that there are differences among students, Multi-level teaching ismore effective in arousing the interest of English learning and improving theEnglish scores.There are five parts in this paper. The first part is an introduction, whichintroduces the background, significance, purpose, and thesis structure; thesecond part is about basic theory, which details Multi-level teaching mode andthe current situation home and abroad. The third part gives a detaileddescription of the experiment including a hypothesis, an experiment design,experiment process, data collection and analysis. And there are findings,discussions,suggestions and conclusions in four and five part. The statistical results reveal that Multi-level teaching mode in senior high school in ruralareas is effective though there are some problems.
