This paper through student questionnaires and interviews with teachers and parents interviews,after a brief analysis of the current status of local primary school calligraphy education,found that calligraphy education should not only enable students to learn the correct writing skills of Chinese characters,but the main task is to allow students to learn and master the great national spirits contained in Chinese characters.Through the teaching practice,we learned that the role of word source in primary school calligraphy education is just like the role of culture in the country's overall development.When elementary school students begin to learn calligraphy,the introduction of the word source can give students a solid foundation in the overall development of cultural education and quality education "foundation".Through the analysis of the source of Chinese characters,enumerating examples of the evolution of Chinese characters from the beginning of the image to the subsequent development of abstraction.The combination of students' cognition of things is based on the concrete recognition of things and the abstract recognition of things.The education emphasizes the student-centered teaching idea,conforms to the specificity of the lower-grade students' brain processing mechanism and cognitive ability,and enables students to understand the pronunciation of Chinese characters,understand the meaning of Chinese characters,and control the correct writing of Chinese characters.Deepen the understanding of the rich content of the word source,and then inherit the traditional Chinese culture,so that the Chinese culture will remain young forever.
