The university entrance exam, as many of the most memorable moment,has become the social young man forward and struggle of main engine.Since the recovery of the college entrance examination system in1977, thecollege entrance examination has become the important way of selectingtalents in our country, the tens of millions of educated youth on the road tothe future, the wooden bridge of light.30years between the college entranceexamination number increases year by year. But starting in2009, this trendhas changed, in nearly five years in the national college entranceexamination enrollment decline year by year, nearly three years of highschool graduates to refuse to take an examination of the number reached2011in1.68million,2012,3.02million,2013in4.1million. That there isno lack of among them for the dwindling Numbers of school-age population,but more due to the high school graduates abandon test groups anincreasingly large scale.This paper uses structural functionalism theory and Maslow’s hierarchyof needs theory as the theoretical framework, adopts survey research, fieldresearch and research method of combining literature research methods.Concrete adopted questionnaire method, we obtain the first hand data, basedon the analysis of the related problem to be more persuasive. At the sametime also adopt the method of the structured interview. Based on a numberof respondents in-depth and comprehensive interviews, to master theabandon of more realistic reasons. In addition to collect, sort out theministry of education in China and the national bureau of statistics on thewebsite of the relevant statistics, second-hand data analysis, calculate thenumber of the college entrance examination, the number of past life, freshgraduates year of birth of birth population, primary school junior highschool graduation rates, and than ordinary high school and vocational highschool students and a series of more accurate and real data. Finally sort out the fresh graduates to abandon the cause of the test, including:First, due to go abroad to study or work abroad exam; Second, someschools in order to improve graduation rates, make some kind of learning ofpoor students to give up the university entrance exam; Third, because somefamily can’t afford the cost of the university leads to graduate chose toabandon study; Fourth, because can’t stand pressure of school, family andchoose to abandon on the eve of the college entrance examinationexamination; Fifth, the increasing number of college graduates in recentyears led to a decline in employment, some high school graduates and theirparents in view of the low employment rate and employment pressure, giveup the university entrance exam, early into the society; Sixth, some highschool graduates because of poor performance in high school, know theuniversity entrance exam hopeless and give up the university entrance exam.University, as a nation, a nation’s think tank, knowledge base anddatabase, used to be many students dream of the ivory tower. But now whymore than ten years hard struggle and on "The carp has leaped through thedragon’s gate" at the last moment to give up? The reason may contain toomuch passive and helpless, also reflects the uneven level of development ofurban and rural economy in our country, education and cultural dislocation,embarrassment and missing. Including: China’s rural residents income is low,the education differences between urban and rural, deviation of Chinesehigher education is oriented.Facing the problems, our government and society should adoptcorresponding policies to solve and make up, for example: institutionallysecure all want to go to college students; Provide a wide range of educationresources; For the college entrance examination and the correspondingreform of higher education at the same time, increasing investment in highereducation, establish and improve the system of grants and scholarships. Thisis in order to increase the attractiveness of higher education for high schoolstudents, and let all people can read a book, can set his mind at to read goodbooks.
