The mind map is not only a creative thinking tool but also a very efficient way ofprocessing information. According to the mind map students can combine the fragmentedknowledge to form a knowledge network which is in good order and well arranged. At thesame time,it helps students concentrate and stimulate students’ interest in learningmathematics.It can also cultivate students’ divergent thinking ability.The main purpose of this article is to explore the mind map on the junior middle schoolstudents’ mathematics achievement and students thinking influence.We expect that it canpromote the teaching of Mathematics effectively and provide reference for teachers in NewCourse "three-dimensional target".We also expect that it can provide effective mathematicslearning methods for students, and improve students’ interest in learning mathematics.In this article, the writer uses the method of literature review of existing in the mind mapin other disciplines, and adopt the experimental method to explore the application of mindmapping in the junior middle school mathematics classroom on students’ achievement andthinking. I select40students in Class2Grade8in a middle school as the experimentalgroup.40student in Class1Grade8formed the control group. The writer uses the method ofquestionnaire after teaching to understand students’ cognition of the mind map, and to providereferences for the application of mind map in the future.This article draws the following conclusions:(1) Mind mapping is more conducive to theteachers improve the teaching design compared with the traditional teaching plan.(2) Thescore of the experimental class is better than that of the control class and two classes havesignificant differences.It shows that the mind map is helpful to improve the mathematicsachievement of junior middle school students.(3) Using mind map is helpful to improvestudents’ creative thinking.(4) Using mind map is helpful to strengthen the team cooperation.This article firstly introduces the research content and significance.Then it describesthe concept and the mind map of the general situation on the development.And it introducesapplication of the mind map in the teaching experiment of inquiry in junior high schoolmathematics teaching and analysis of application effect.Finally it gives the summary andrecommendations.
