Function is the very important part in middle school mathematics, the thinking method ofit always runs throughout high school algebra, and geometry is applied to solve questions atthe same time. Function is one of important content in the high school math, it not only runsthroughout high school mathematics learning always, even affect the students’ lifelonglearning. The importance of it mainly embodied in:1, the function is derived from the real life,has been widely used in daily life.2, the function is an important content of middle schoolmathematics, the thinking method of it always runs throughout high school algebra, geometryis applied to solve the topic again at the same time, it is the basis for the further studymathematics. Three all-encompassing, function, content, which contain a lot of, veryimportant mathematical thought and method, such as the function and equation,transformation and reduction, classification, discussion, number form combination and so on.These thoughts method is the foundation of learning mathematics and solving math problemsin the future, in the function in the process of teaching should be focused on and control thelink requires students to focus on.Function means the change of mathematical thought method, from the constantmathematics to the variable transformation, the learning function can make the studentsunderstand the update all things are in change, and to cultivate the students’ view of dialecticalmaterialism has irreplaceable significance. To cultivate the students’ dialectical materialistpoint of view, the innovation spirit and ability of applying mathematics knowledge to solvepractical problems has irreplaceable significance. With a new round of curriculum reform andthe college entrance examination mathematics the thinking method of the topic of nearly halfof all use function of environment, function to the student learning ability demand is higherand higher. Although many of the students in junior high school, and even primary school hasbeen exposed to function, but because of abstractness and complexity of function and functionis an important proportion in the college entrance examination, for freshman students, since itis still an important and a difficult. Educations is an important stage of function of learning,students of function control directly affect the whole high school mathematics learning, so itis necessary for us to understand the current situation of senior students to function, to provide first-hand information for the later teaching, in order to better improve the quality of teachingand students’ learning results. Based on the ordinary high school senior students function wasDanZhou Municipality study present situation investigation and the analysis of the system byliterature research, questionnaire survey method, interview method, etc.First of all, the high grade is the starting function learning, the situation of the studentsknow the function directly affects the whole high school mathematics learning, in the specialposition and function in the middle school mathematics, the proportion of prominent in thecollege entrance examination and the new curriculum standard, high student function wereproposed in the paper the present situation of the study to investigate the necessity andimportance of. Second, through the literature research the concept of function is defined, andafter repeated research and refer to the relevant data, analysis of the present situation of studyof this subject at home and abroad, finally established the research object, method and train ofthought. Then design the scientific and reasonable content of questionnaire and interview, andin the first2DanZhou Municipality mathematics educational research group under the help ofthe teachers, the author successfully obtained the research to the data needed for this topic.Then, the author USES the Excel software for the data from questionnaire and individualinterview and a detailed analysis of the system. Finally, according to the survey data andanalysis results, aiming at the existing problem of high student in function learning, fromlearning habits, learning methods, teaching methods, thinking and cognitive developmentlevel of students and a teacher of line put forward constructive opinions and Suggestions, inorder to improve the quality of first-line teachers function teaching and students’ function oflearning results.
