As informatization of education goes deeper, tremendous changes have takenplace in education system, such as instructional objectives, instructional content, andteaching methods and so on. Teacher is the leading force in the development ofeducation, an important factor in education reform, whose teaching ability determinesthe degree of information technology in education to a certain extent. The ability ofinstructional design is an important component of teachers’ capacity, thus it is aneffective strategy to improve teaching activities. The ability of instructional design isone of the core contents of teaching ability for normal school students, which are thekey factor that determine teaching quality after they became teachers.For normal school students, develop their instructional design ability mainlythrough public educational technology courses and educational practice, dependent onthe traditional classroom teaching to some extent, however, we found that traditionalclassroom have some problems, such as theoretical knowledge and practical, teachingmethod, teaching resource and so on. To solve those problem effectively,collaboration with the University of Hong Kong, we introduced the KB (knowledgebuilding) platform into the instructional design classroom. Under the guidance ofconstructivism and collaborative learning theory, design and implementation theeffective types of course activities and resources, which supported the normal schoolstudent learning knowledge of instructional design and provided the conditions forIndependent Learning and Collaborative Learning.This study is based on the needs of training normal school students’ ability ofinstructional design, set instructional objectives based on the problems of traditionalclassroom. Through application, examining the feasibility of KB platform forimproving instructional design ability of normal school students, summarizingteaching strategies with different stages, setting teaching evaluation according to theinstructional objectives, verifications KB platforms to found problems in order toachieve the purpose of promotion the students’ ability of instructional design.
