In the present times with gradualglobalization formation, the University Campus Culture of China encountered intounprecedented opportunities and challenges for ever.Meanwhile, the UniversityCampus Culture of the United States, generating and developing in its uniquecultural background, had accumulated various advanced experience from theconstruction process, forming distinctive University Campus Culture, cultivating ahuge number of high-quality integrated talents. Based on the actual situations in ourcountry, it is quite important and necessary to deep the study on the AmericanUniversity Campus Culture, from which successful experience on knowledgeinnovation and personnel training, which could be used as a reference to improveefficiency of the University Campus Culture Construction could be learned.In this study, the methods, such as literature analysis, comparative research andcomprehensive research were used in the discussions from multiple perspectives onthe connotation and characteristics of the Campus Culture and the connotation,characteristics, functions of the University Campus Culture. Based on thediscussions, the development process of the American University Campus Culturewas analyzed by historical axis, concretely divided into three stages as Europe birth,localizing exploration and diversified development.Furthermore, the AmericanUniversity Campus Culture was comprehensive analyzed at three aspects as basicconcepts, main contents and main carriers, forming a systemic understanding; thehumanistic spirit,"Three A" principle, pragmatistic tradition and multi-culturalconcepts constitute the fundamental beliefs of American University campus culture,which has main contents as material culture, spiritual culture, institutional cultureand behavior culture, unfolded by material vector, institutional vector, organizationvector, activity vector and other Vectors. At the end, for the sake of answering the problems existing in the University Campus Culture Construction process of ourcountry, this paper draw lessons from the beneficial experience, pointing out properapproach and summing up the optimizing enlightenment. The major enlightenmentswere as follows: Firstly, we must establish correct philosophies about UniversityCampus Culture; secondly, we should optimize the contents of the UniversityCampus Culture at four aspects; Thirdly, we need to improve the carriers of theUniversity Campus Culture; Fourthly, we ought to strengthen the moral function ofthe University Campus Culture. Stones from other hills may serve to polish jade. It ishoped that we could learn some useful experience from the American UniversityCampus Culture through this study, combined with actual conditions in our country,thus to promote the healthy and orderly development of the University CampusCulture.
