Social Work Practice In The Education Of Children With Autism To Explore

At present, there are millions of autistic children in China. These children lackthe normal language communication with people and some of them even lackself-care ability. These children bear more living and spiritual pressure compared withthe ordinary children, and our Country’s care system for autistic children is still ablueprint. For the moment, the education for the children with autism is still a toughproblem. It’s hard for them to accept the regular systematic education due to theirown problem. The family education has limit, training center can’t meet the educationdemand in the long run, and the regular school won’t accept them while the specialschool is quite few.As the professional society work gets more attention and recognition in ourcountry, getting involved in autism is an inevitable trend of society development. It’savailable and necessary for society work to get involved in it.This thesis is based on the society work practice. Through the introduction of thereal autism case, we conducted an unstructured interview by combining case socialwork method and group social work method. We adopted humanism in the societywork and solved the described problems in the case by theory construction. We madean evaluation toward the education demand of the autistic children and finallyexplored the model and the way for society work involvement. In the specific case,we took5interviews and one group activity to the autistic children and their parents.After consistent guidance and a series of activities, their problem got relieved and thesituation turned better.
