In China, reading teaching is confronted with many problems:some Chinese teachers overlook it, some misunderstand it, or some are not good at guiding. In view of this situation, the author tries to outline the development of Chinese traditional reading theories and explore a new reading method for the Chinese reading teaching. Based on the researches of Ye Shengtao, Wang Shangwen and the other predecessor, the author redefines the aesthetic reading from the perspective of aesthetic education, analyzes its basic characteristics and basic elements. At the same time, the author adopts the research methods of questionnaire investigation with interview to make a further understanding of reading teaching in Chinese schools. According to the survey, the author puts forward the strategies of aesthetic reading teaching:focuse on the aesthetic text, rich the aesthetic perception, wake up the aesthetic imagination, deepen the aesthetic comprehension, activate the aesthetic emotion, lighten the aesthetic expression, implement the aesthetic expression. Finally, the author makes a prospect of the aesthetic reading, puts forward the "the aesthetic reading course", and points out the professional qualities which the aesthetic reading teachers need, and the specific activities that aesthetic reading teaching in our schools.The reason of focusing on the aesthetic reading is that on one hand is to look for the better method of reading teaching, on the other hand is to help students lead a poetic life with aesthetic attitude. The aesthetic reading is a performance with nature energy, is a combination of sound language with body language. From eyes-reading to mouth-reading is a leap of sound; from mouth-reading to read aloud, is a leap of cadences; from reading aloud to aesthetic reading, is a leap of dancing. Through the aesthetic reading, the thought is deepened, the emotional is released, the spirit is free, the self-value is confirmed. The students not only experience the beauty, but also create the beauty. At last, they become the real masters of the classroom.
