This study is based on a summary of the father parenting behavior and preschool childrenself-control, tries to find out the relationship between the father parenting behavior and4years oldpreschool children self-control, and provides effective theoretical bases for exploring the promotion offather parenting behavior to train children’s self-control.This study mainly from the following three aspects:First, The analysis of the basic situation of father parenting behavior. This study adopts fatherparenting behavior questionnaire compiled by the scholar Shu Yu, among more than300fathers, andconducts a survey analysis. The statistical results showed: the father parenting behavior total score in themid to upper level, and father parenting behavior is in good condition; in the six factors of father parentingbehavior, the indirect support of father to children aged4is the most, the discipline is the least.Second, The development characteristics of4years old preschool children self-controllevel. This study adopts preschool children self-control questionnaire compiled by the scholar Yue Shen,among more than300, tests the development of self-control level of more than300children aged4. Results: the total score of4years old children’s self-control is in the middle level.4years oldchildren’s self delay of gratification scored the highest, while the4year old children’s adherence to thelowest score.Third, The analysis of the relationship between the father parenting behavior and4years oldchildren’s self-control. This study analyze the father parenting behavior data and4years old children’sself-control data of more than300pairs of fathers and sons, through the correlation analysis and regressionanalysis. Results showed that: the father parenting behavior has an effect on the development of the4yearsold children’s self-control. The father’s emotion expression and discipline constraint behavior hassignificant predictive effects on the development of4years old children’s self-consciousness, persistence,gratification of self-imposed delay. The father’s moderate discipline constraint has a certain degree ofprediction on the development4years old children’s self-consciousness, persistence, impulse inhibition.The father’s indirect support has a significant predictive effect on the4year old children impulse suppression.
