College students’ ideological and political education is always the one of the focuses of the Chinese Communist party. In his report delivered at the18th Party Congress, former President Hu Jintao emphasized on strengthening the socialist core value system, improving citizens’moral quality in a comprehensive way, and making every efforts to make education satisfactory. He also stressed to put education first and fully implement the party’s education policy, which is, education must serve socialist modernization construction and the people, the fundamental task of education is moral value establishment and people cultivation, and the goal of education is cultivating socialist builders and successors with all-round development. Quality education must be fully implemented, education reform must be deepened, and the quality of education must be improved, so that students’social responsibility, creativity, practical ability will be gained. This thesis applies human resources management knowledge and information obtained from practical work to ideological and political education for college students, to make an innovation for ideological and political education and strengthen the function of management of the ideological and political education.This thesis mainly includes five parts:the first part elaborates the selected topic, research aim, significance and current internal and foreign research on this topic with related information and content, and explains that the research is of practical significance; the second part introduces concepts related with management of ideological and political education, human resource management and human resource management mode, as well as how this two integrate with each other; the third part explains the problems in management of ideological and political education of college students and causes of the problems; the fourth part is driving force of the whole thesis, which based on various of facts, expounds how human resource management is being applied to the management of ideological and political education of college students currently, including the application of a single mode and a combination of several modes; the fifth part puts forward specific timely countermeasures to each problem in the third chapter, adds new ways to the application of human resources management mode to the management of ideological and political education of college students, and improves the function of human resources management model in the management of ideological and political education of college students. The aim of this thesis is to cultivate college student human resources into high standard, practical, and qualified successors of the country in the future.
