| On the fourth conference on women, Governments are all making commitments topromote gender equality in such aspects education, politics, and economics, while ourgovernment promises to keep gender equality and gender mainstreaming a basic nationalpolicy. With the rapid development of urbanization and continually economic and acceleratemigration and into the city in China, population structure shows the tendency of imbalance,lead to trafficking this phenomenon emerge in endlessly. Trafficking has become aninternationally major social issue in the world today, and has been recognized as a crime toreceive terrific punishment. Therefore a special group of people emerged in our view——therescued women. Such a group is often neglected and vulnerable at the same time, whoseneeds are not met, and their problems are left to be solved. However, there is relatively lessstudy on trafficked women in the domestic. Mainly research on rural women’s family status,the cause of women trafficked to explore, and from a legal point of view of the crime oftrafficking.Therefore, this essay focuses on one rescued women, discussing her current situation afterbeing rescued, doing further study on the predicament.She faces to integrate into the newrural life,and proposes theoretical support and strategy for social workers to intervene. Fromobserver perspective, this paper studies the specific case of trafficked women social assistanceprocess. Emphasis on the analysis of background of the women, their social adaptationsituation, the mutual social action and resources transfer situation during and after the rescue,which contribute to this area of studies. Based on the above, the paper analyzes the functionof the Women’s Federation during trafficked women rescue. They provide mental assistance,help self-growth for these women, and provide training to find jobs, relieve their pressure andcombine the social assistance and welfare. They carry out mutual measures to help theabducted women to come back normal life.According to the process of the rescue of trafficked women from the Women’s Federation, the traditional women social work is localized and more accepted but it is stilldifferent from the professional social work. Compared with social workers, the workers inThe Women’s Federation are lack in professionalism and system of professional educationand the work model is simple. Aimed at these problems, this paper provides the followingsuggestions. Firstly, mix the professional method of social work to women work which canmake the Women’s Federation target more accurately in rescue. Secondly, apply the “HelpPeople to Help Themselves†theory to women social work. Thirdly, train the workers from theWomen’s Federation to improve their professionalism. |
