Astudy On The Effectiveness Of Postgraduate’s Ideological And Political Education

The purpose of postgraduate education is to foster highly talented individuals,which determine the success of socialist modernization. Chinese postgraduateeducation has obtained profound experiences as well as the significant achievementdue to the nation’s reformation and openness. However, there are still some problemscan not be ignored such as the weakening of effectiveness of postgraduate ideologicaland political education. It is mainly represented that the attention and means ofeducation can not satisfy the needs of postgraduates. The specific characteristics ofpostgraduates which is different with undergraduate can be shown on many aspects,such as thought, the structure of student source，psychological and learning style. Itrequires us to put forward some countermeasures for graduate level. So how toimprove the effectiveness of the postgraduate ideological and political education hasbecome a new issue to the ideological and political educator.The article takes the effectiveness of postgraduate ideological and politicaleducation as key point and analyzes the conceptions and characters of it. TakingHenan Agricultural University as an example， the present study is concerned with aresearch on the status quo of postgraduate in this university from various aspects suchas ideological, moral political literacy and psychological state. The questionnaireshows that most of the postgraduate have good personality, lofty character, andpositive attitude toward ideological and political education，meanwhile the problem ofthe lack of effectiveness of postgraduate ideological and political education remainsevere. The article analyses the reasons which influence the effectiveness from theessential of the ideological and political, including education concept, educationcarrier, educator, educatee, educational environment, and make suggestions toimprove the effectiveness of the postgraduate ideological and political educationaccordingly.Researching the effectiveness of the postgraduate ideological and politicaleducation has theoretical and practical significance. Firstly, the research expands thesubject area of ideological and political education, deepens the theoretical disciplines,and enriches the postgraduate education system. Secondly, it is beneficial to reformnational postgraduate education, improve the ideological and political quality ofpostgraduate, and ensure the quality of postgraduate education. Thirdly，it has broughtup a large quantity of talented individuals for our socialist construction as well. In one word, it is an essential element of improving overall national strength and theinternational competition edge.
