In the background of the economic globalization and internationalization ofhigher education, all the countries in the world have cooperation and exchanges in orderto constantly improve their own impact in the international community. Education inpatriotism is always as the core and the eternal subject of Ideological and politicaleducation of college students, the tide of the reform in the new period brings the greatimpact to human mind. With the rapid development of China’s education system reformand cultural exchange between China and foreign countries, China’s education marketgradually presents a pattern of opening up and higher education has been pushed onto theinternational stage. All these add to the urgency of the patriotic education, especially thecollege students’ Patriotism Education which running in the mode of Chinese foreigncooperation. Due to the characteristics of the particularity in running the school and theuniqueness of the students, the students’ traditional values and patriotism idea has beenchallenged, especially western values have caused a certain degree of influence onChinese college students’ world outlook, outlook on life and values. In this situation, wemust insist on the correct value orientation and pay more attention and continue tostrengthen the patriotic education of college students and improve their corecompetitiveness in the international competition.This paper explores the important significance and new methods of students’patriotism education in running Sino-foreign joint school cooperation programs, which ison the basis of the patriotic education of college students. This paper makes the collegesand universities in Hubei as the research object, and investigate the problems and reasonsin patriotism education at this stage of the mode of running Sino-foreign joint schoolcooperation programs one the basis of summarizing the present situation for Sino-foreignjoint school cooperation programs. This paper proposes the principle, measures andcountermeasures that we should insist on patriotic education. This can not only understand the current situation of Hubei province for Sino-foreign joint schoolcooperation programs from one side, also has certain reference meanings to the patrioticeducation of college students in other areas of our country, which hopes to guide collegestudents to form correct ideas, values, and firm ideal and faith in patriotic, and throughhistorical and cultural education arousing students’ patriotic and national identity andsense of pride which to enhance the effectiveness of education in patriotism.
