It has been noticed that the traditional “Control--Obedience” Class-Mode does not fit thepresent society, classroom teaching and students as well. Therefore, the reconsideration of theclass discipline management strategy is made from the perspective of cooperative discipline.The cooperative discipline is to guide teachers to solve discipline problems by cooperatingwith students, colleagues and students’ parents, so as to put an end to inappropriate behaviorsin class. The research applies the American cooperative discipline mode to the classmanagement of high-grades in primary schools of our country. It tries to do the actionresearch by interpreting the class discipline problems from the perspective of students withthe concept of cooperative discipline. It gets the real feedbacks from investigation, interviewwith teachers and students, and classroom observation. It tries to prove the effectiveness ofthe cooperative discipline mode in terms of cultivating students’ self-respect, self-confidenceand self-discipline, satisfying students’ affiliation need, setting up good study environmentand raising study interest and scholastic achievements, in a multi-level and multi-angel way. Itexplores the class discipline management mode to fit the present educational conditions of ourcountry and to adjust and innovate in the local class discipline management mode in practice.It is beneficial to both students’ growth and teachers’ career development in doing theresearch.The research consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction. It explains the motivation of the research, some relatedcurrent researches at home and abroad, the significance of the research and the contents andmethodology of the research.The second part explains the theoretical basis and premise of the cooperative discipline.The third part does the initial investigation and data analysis by doing questionnaire surveyand interviewing the teachers and students.The fourth part does the action research of the cooperative discipline by doingquestionnaire survey, case analysis and field observation.The fifth part discusses the effectiveness of cooperative discipline management strategyand the factors restraining the implementing of the cooperative discipline mode, and providespossible solutions.
