Students health monitoring has been an important career of our government andschools. The earliest launch of China’s students’ physical health monitoring can betraced back to1979and there has been nearly40years of its development history. Andit experienced several adjustments of the monitoring standards during its developmentprocess. In April2007, the Ministry of Education and the State Sports GeneralAdministration issued the "National student Physical Health Standard"(hereinafterreferred to as the "standard"). It played an active role in physical exercise interventionsfor students. But from the perspective of the evaluation, currently China’s students’physical health monitoring still exists some deficiencies, such as one-sided evaluationresults, single evaluation standard and evaluation subject, monotonous evaluationmethods, too much emphasis on test scores and other issues and so on. Hence, we cansee the important practical significance to complete the students’ physical healthmonitoring evaluation, which can improve the effects of it.In this paper, documentations, questionnaires and expert interviews and otherresearch methods are taken. Firstly, it is proved that students’ physical healthmonitoring is capable of using authenticity evaluation theory, which has acharacteristic of authenticity in the evaluation content, process and approach. Secondly,the design of authentic assessment on students’ physical health monitoring is analyzedand demonstrated, including design considerations, utility methods, structure andprocess of authenticity assessment about students’ physical health monitoring. Finally,the application of design project is discussed. The research conclusions are as follows:1.Through the questionnaires combined with interviews of150campus studentsand12experts in Shanghai, found that the students’and experts’satisfaction on currentphysical health monitoring is not high. Analyzing the main problems by Pareto,cumulative percentage of evaluation criteria, the evaluation results, test results, evaluation methods and evaluation of the main in Class A zone is86%, which is thekey issue and should be improved in the course of enhancing the process of monitoringand evaluating, which is also the major problem in the evaluation of the student’shealth monitoring. In addition, there are also problems such as the evaluation scheduleand information feedback.2.The theoretical and practical demonstration showed that it is feasible to applythe authentic assessment to the student’s health monitoring. On the evaluation ofcontent, evaluation process and evaluation methods aspects, the health monitoringsystem had the "authenticity" feature.3.When designing students’ health monitoring authentic assessment, involvingelements: clear evaluation objectives, authentic assessment tasks, authenticityevaluation criteria, evaluation body and gauge; performance evaluation, portfolioassessment, observation-based assessment are the three most typical students’ healthmonitoring authentic assessment tools.4.Implementation of Student Physical Health Monitoring authentic assessmentcan be divided into five steps. There is something should be noted: the establishment ofmechanisms to promote students’ physical health monitoring authentic evaluation,students’ individual differences and the long-term and coherent of authentic assessmentof students’ physical health monitoring.
