In2006, general secretory Hu put forward an important address about Eight Honorsand Eight Disgraces. Lacking of sense of shame, as one important part of the morality, hasbrought highly attention in the society. As new generation of the21st century, there aretwo essential elements that the undergraduates should have which to help them to becomeuseful person, namely psychological health and the knowledge repertory. The articleregards the phenomenon of lacking of shame education in colleges and Universities?moraleducation as a cut point, and studies the sense of shame of the undergraduates. The seriousabsence and inequality of the sense of shame, which is caused by the science andtechnological development, economic promotion and Chinese and western combination,has caused a series of problems and seriously influenced the development of valueorientation and mental health. So cultivation and remodeling on the sense of shame intransformation period is very important..From the cause of the senses of shame, it can be divided into frustration of self-esteemtype transformation of family affection type, lack of moral cultivation type; from themanifestation of the sense of shame, it can be divided into poor learning cultural type, badbehavior custom type, and bias love cognitive type; from the character of the sense ofshame, it can be divided into weakness of the actual self and reduction of self-evaluationtype, aggravation of reflected self and reinforce of negative emotion type, disorder of idealself and self杛egulation. The questionnaire of undergraduatess’ situation on sense ofshame designs on the basis of the nine shame types. All the collected valid questionnaireswere analyzed by the statistical software SPSS, and the results reflected two characters,namely universally and particularity of undergraduates’ sense of shame. Education on thesense of shame as an important part of Chinese traditional cultural, is also a vital part of themoral education in colleges and universities. Shame education, implementation of "eighthonors and eight disgraces" not only to follow the general education law, and should alsohave a scientific and rational ways of education: strengthen the theory teaching, to carry out the corresponding activities, construction of the practical teaching model and methodof reasoning to guide improved self-knowledge, to model demonstration method toenhance self experience in methods of self-realization of self-regulation of the educationlaw.For shame education not only helps improve the formation of individual moral quality,but also helps promote the formation of the harmonious campus atmosphere, at the sametime also have driven to the social construction of spiritual civilization. Therefore, enhancethe sense of shame, shame education should be the moral education in colleges anduniversities is an important mission.
