Study Of The Influences Of Internet On College Students’ Spiritual Life

Active and healthy spiritual life plays an extremely important role in the growth and development of college students, it will not only help them set up the correct values and outlook on life, but also contribute to mental health and professional learning. With the rapid development of the Internet today, colorful network application, fragmented massive information have quietly been dept into college students’every corner of life which includes learning, life, communication and so on. Network changes the culture, interpersonal communication, ideological and moral, psychological state of college students in a subtle way. The network produces positive impacts on college students’spiritual life, but also brings many negative effects. This paper conducts a careful and deep investigation and study on the spiritual life of college students in the Internet environment, and attempts to provide reference for the healthy growth of college students.On the basis of extensive reading and understanding of the related to this topic, firstly, the two key concepts of Internet and spiritual life are defined. Then, design the questionnaire which is named Study of Internet on College Students’Spiritual Life and engage in empirical research. After analyzing the survey data and the content of the interview, the author summarizes and sums up the positive and negative influences of Internet on college students’spiritual life. The positive influences are: making college students’spiritual life more colorful, to help them relax under stress, providing the new learning platform and making their communication more convenient. The Internet also has some negative effects:the entertainment of culture life, the alienation of human emotion, the lack of ideal and belief, the ambiguity of moral consciousness and the impetuous psychology. And then analyzes the four main aspects of the reasons for these adverse effects:firstly, the weakness of ideological work in a period of time; secondly, the Internet itself has two sides; thirdly, the pertinence and effectiveness of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is not strong; fourthly, some college students don’t have good self-restraint. The author thinks that improving the quality of college students’spiritual life is a systematic project, which needs the joint efforts of the society, the state, the college, the family and the students themselves. In the perspective of the school, six measures are advanced in this paper, which includes constructing interdisciplinary ideological and political education team, strengthening the socialist core values education, improving the network quality of college students, creating a good campus network environment, carrying out a variety of campus cultural activities and conserving the vigor with classic. The author hope that these six operational measures can help college students improve their spiritual life quality.
