| There are two campuses for a full secondary school (the old campus in the city,the new far from urban areas) with unified management of teachers. How to makemore good teachers come to work in the new campus, mobilize their enthusiasm andcreativity and improve the quality of teaching in a school with two sites, whichmeans the leaders need to develop effective incentive strategies.Teacher motivation is to inspire teachers to work continuously which meansmotivating teachers’ enthusiasm for work. Incentive strategy refers to the measure andway to achieve an effective motivation. Since the early20th century, the Westernmanagement scientists, sociologists and psychologists have made deep study onmotivation from different perspectives. They’ve pointed out many inspirit theories:Hierarchy of Needs Theory, Two-Factor Theory, ERG Theory, Need for AchievementTheory, Expectancy Theory, Equity Theory, Goal Setting Theory, ReinforcementTheory. In recent years, Chinese scholars have proposed simultaneous andcomprehensive motivation theories. These theories provide good reference andinspiration for the study of motivation for general secondary school teachers.This article focus on the research of psychological needs situation of high schoolteachers, the major problems lied in the inspirit system also the causes of them byquestionnaires and interviews of teachers of Hainan Normal University Affiliated HighSchool, the First Secondary School of Haikou and Dingan Secondary school. Based onthe problems lied in psychological need of teachers in a school with two sites, thisarticle put forward strategy of inspiritment: people-oriented way of improving the levelof inspirit system of administrators(managers must learn theory of motivation); tocreate a variety of incentive models and innovation incentives (to expand space forteachers to upgrade themselves and establish a fair and reasonable material incentivesto actively promote the appointment of teachers jobs, schools and teachers encourageself-motivation combined with school leaders, praise and criticism are very importantroles in encouragement, leading humane care and ease pressure on teachers’ work andlife, strengthen campus cultural construction), to build a scientific and rational systemof teacher evaluation (with actual situation in schools, to develop a scientificevaluation criteria, evaluation of advanced concepts, adhere to the qualitative andquantitative assessment of the combination of methods to optimize teacher evaluationsystem, to enhance objectivity and fairness of assessment, to master the timeliness andrelevance feedback mechanism to improve the examination results). |
