College graduates are important human resources for the national economic andsocial development, and all of the scholars both at home and abroad pay attention tothe research on problem of the employment of university graduates. At present,university graduates in Tianjin are facing employment difficulties such as largeamount, structural contradictions and choosing misunderstandings, and theemployment difficulties will be the important factors that impact and restrict theeconomic development and social harmony. Tianjin college graduates’ employmentproblem, obviously shows the lack of college graduates’ employability in fact.Therefore, to work hard to study on the problem of college graduates’ employment,especially on measures of promoting employment for Tianjin college graduates withthe direction of ability improvement, has very important practical significance tosolve the problem of college graduates’ employment and promote the economic andsocial harmonious development.In this paper, more attention is paid to arranging and analyzing the literature tograsp the direction and important reference of Tianjin college graduates’ employmentproblem nowadays; to questionnaires and interviews in-depth to master theemployment situation and actual problems of Tianjin college graduates; tocomparative analysis to master the common problems and individual differences ofTianjin college graduates in the process of employment. Meanwhile, the studyanalyzes and researches the fundamental factors that affect the employment ability ofTianjin university graduates nowadays and solving measures in-depth, according tousing the labor market segmentation theory, the new public management theory, andthe flexible management theory. On the basis of defining the content of employmentability as cognitive ability, competitiveness and flexibility, the study puts forwardspecific measures of improving employment ability, promoting employment forcollege graduates targetedly, in combination with the development of Tianjin andcollege graduates’ actual situation: Promoting the development of transformation,improving the employment policy, perfecting service system, deepening the educationreform, to enhance the competitiveness of employment of university graduates;Guiding the employment concept, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, toimprove college graduates’ cognitive ability; Strengthening the trainee internship,promoting continuous learning, strengthening the humanistic care, to improve collegegraduates’ employment flexibility.
