The Study On Career Planning Education Of Higher Vocational Collage

Nowadays, career planning education become more and more important with the process of popularization of higher education and the severe employment situation.The objective of higher vocational education is to cultivate high-quality and skilled talents, but in fact, most of the higher vocational collage put more emphasis on the employment rate rather than the guide of students’ career planning and long-term success. Although the career planning education sense of higher vocational collage has improved a lot, the field research of 3 higher vocational collages in Zhengzhou discovered that the career planning education of higher vocational collages still has many problems. Such as the imperfect organization of career planning, the vagueness of every department’s responsibility, the unreasonable curriculum structure and the incomplete content, the single teaching method, the inadequate number and unsatisfactory quality of the career planning teachers, the lack of diversified activities,and the incomplete internet services. As a consequence, the educational results are barely satisfactory. The attitudes of the government, higher vocational collages,society, parents and students themselves have a great influence on career planning education. In order to improve the educational effects of career planning education,the higher vocational collages should firstly change their traditional ideas, and pay more anttention on career planning education. Secondly, the collages need to promote their career planning education from the following aspects: optimizing the organizational structure and signing a special organization for career planning education; completing the curriculum system based on the needs of students and society; improving the teaching methods, such as case method and practical teaching method; strengthening the construction and training of the faculty team; enriching the types and holding ways of activities; replenishing the content of career planning website.
