According to the 35 th report of China Network Development Statistics, issued by CNNIC on February 3,2015, the number of our nation’s internet users had reached 0.649 billion and the popularizing rate of internet had reached 47.9% until the end of December 2014. Among those, 0.557 billion are cellphone network users, which has increased from 81.0% to 85.8% and are far more than the PC network users. Hence,cellphones have become the most popular network terminals. What can not be ignored is that micro-blogging has become the mainstream app, welcomed by the whole nation. Micro-blogging is the second largest source of public opinions, which occupies a central position in spreading the network public opinions. Micro-blogging is putting effort to update the mechanism of producing and spreading public opinions.Although it appeared only eight years ago, the role micro-blogging plays could not be underestimated. It is not only an app for entertainment or social interaction, but also has an outstanding performance when major emergencies and social events happen. In 2010, the Chinese Institute of Social Sciences issued a blue book, which claimed the micro-blogging as the most powerful carrier of public opinions. Because of its rapid and viral proliferation, micro-blogging has become a field of the public opinions and has convened the views of netizens and reports of the emergencies. With the expansion of university recruitment in 1999, the population of enrolled students has greatly increased year by year. The high education is accessible for most of students. It brings great challenges for the colleges and universities on how to educate students efficiently. Moreover, the vast majority of micro-blogging users are university students. They often obtain information, exchange their views and communicate their ideas in micro-blogging. Thus, we should pay attention to the university students’ opinions in the micro-blogging in time, accurately grasp its dynamics so as to improve university ideological and political education and to safeguard the maintenance of harmonious university.This thesis is divided into four chapters as follows. The first chapter is the introduction, mainly introducing backgrounds and significance of the research, domestic and oversea research situations, theoretical foundation, contents and methods of the research, as well as innovation and deficiency of the research.The second chapter mainly depicts the concepts and features of public opinions in the micro-blogging,the communication mechanism of the university students’ opinions in the micro-blogging,the concepts, characteristics and classification of emergencies, as well as the current situation analysis,the evolution, the social impact of their opinions of emergencies in the micro-blogging..The third chapter is based on the analysis of the questionnaire submitted by the students of the four universities in Nanchang. We can get the instant messages by observing the micro-blogging logins and logouts. With the information provided by it, we also may find out the influence of the university students’ opinions of emergencies in the micro-blogging and carry out a preliminary analysis on current situations, directions and problems of their opinions of emergencies in the micro-blogging. Based on field survey, the first-hand information and relevant references,the fourth chapter is to locate effective measures to guide the university students’ opinions of emergencies in the micro-blogging and control the spreading of negative information.We can focus on the dynamics of information dissemination and strengthen monitoring the university students’ opinions. We should develop a team of opinion leaders, to seize the high ground of their opinions of emergencies in the micro-blogging. We must promote media literacy education and enhance the abilities of students’ information analysis.The government should revise the laws and regulations to ensure the healthy development of the university students’ opinions of emergencies in the micro-blogging.The thesis focuses on analyzing the core, generating process, spreading mechanisms and the ways to guide university students’ opinions of emergencies in the micro-blogging by using the field survey method,literature research method and etc.The writer attempts to discuss the university students’ opinions of emergencies in the micro-blogging by experiencing the influence.Combined with actual cases analyzed, the thesis applies the theory of crisis communication, risk society and etc.to illustrate.Through the comprehensive research and analysis, we reveal the significance and threats of guiding public opinions of emergencies in the micro-blogging. And then, we can comprehensively conclude the strategies of guiding public opinions involving the efforts of government, universities, microblogging operators and students.
