Study On Red Cultural Resources And Effectiveness Of Strengthening Work Of College Counselors

Red cultural resources are the precious wealth which is formed in the process of revolution and construction by people of all ethnic groups under the guidance of the Communist Party of China. It plays a irreplaceable role in strengthening the construction of socialist core values and ideological and moral education of citizens.Since the beginning of this century, the study on red cultural resources has got increasingly attention of researchers with emerging achievements. Especially it is generally recognized that its major function is to educate people. The college counselors are the main force to be engaged in moral education and to carry out ideological and political education of college students in institution of higher learning. There is the natural linkage between red cultural resources and the work of college counselors.Under the background of prosperity of study on red cultural resources, this paper focuses on the exploration of how to apply red cultural resources to strengthen effectiveness of work of college counselors.Since the study on red cultural resources and work of college counselors is still weak, this paper starts from their research status to clarify the definition of red cultural resources. Also, through the questionnaire survey, the prospects and difficulties become clear when the red cultural resources are applied in the work of college counselors. The group of college counselors mainly believes that the red cultural resources could play a major role in practical work. However, with the limitation of objective factors that the work of college counselors is miscellaneous and the support is restricted, it still exists some difficulties applying the red cultural resources to strengthen effectiveness of work of college counselors truly and effectively.Based on all the above, this paper analyses the application prospect of red culture resources from the opportunities and challenges while using red culture resources in the work of college counselors.Red cultural resources will help the college counselors to draw working experiences, develop their work and thus update the work ideas. But the college counselors also use red culture resources to bring the new challenges for their own comprehensive qualities, working mode and working efficiency. Therefore, this paper firstly puts forward countermeasures in the angle of the counselors’ work and the counselor themselves. At first, it is suggested to improve the importance and status of counselors, optimize the counselor’s work environment and open the growth channels ofcounselors. Secondly, the college counselors group should also pay attention to improve their knowledge structure, cultivate the interpersonal communication skills and integrate resources so as to actively create a learning atmosphere of the red culture. On the basis of the two aspects, from the perspective of innovative thinking, this paper considers that the red cultural resources should be translated into educational resources; starting from the innovative medium, the red cultural resources should run through the learning and life of college students all the time; starting from the innovative content, the red cultural resources should be injected the time spirit to keep forever vitality.
