In the 21st century, there are many important technological and cultural phenomenon, new media is one of the product of these new technology inventions. New media is not only an update of communication method, it is more important that new media have involved in people’s life in an unprecedented way. It impacts people’s cognitive about the world and life. April 1994, the Internet access to China, in October of the same year, China Education and Research Network was constructed. At that point, we were coming into the period of initial construction and development of internet. Today’s society has entered new media age, new media has changed our daily life, study and communication, and everyone accepted it and enjoyed this great convenience. In this unique age, the information has various characteristics, such as value multiplicity, diversity of forms, source concealment, authenticity distinguish difficulty, ease of retrieval and rich content. New media technology is not only a method to access information, but also an effective way of subtle ideological and political education. It greatly impacts the cultivate and development of moral, behavioral concepts, worldviews, values and views on life of high school students.In the new age, ideological and political education must focus on comprehensive human development, mobilize the enthusiasm of college students, meet students reasonable needs via new media to realize their own value. The various applications of the new media has changed students lifestyles, attitudes and value systems thinking.
