| The rise of a project is dependent on the powerful theory support. Tennis as a fitness, entertainment, and an important component of competitive sports, promote the development of tennis is one of the important factors of academic. Direct response tennis literature is one of the important indicators of academic status. In order to promote the improvement of our country tennis movement, scientific workers carried out extensive research, has published many related research papers, research works, and fund research literature. Therefore, this study of tennis sport in China in the recent ten years academic literature was summarized statistics, classification, sorting, processing, using the research methods of literature metrology to its data are studied, aiming to reveal the research hotspot in the field of tennis in nearly a decade, research status and development trend. By using the library science professional theory of literature metrology method, in the period 2004-2013 Chinese sports academic literature in China as the research object. Literature data method, mathematical statistics, literature measurement analysis, logical analysis, comparative analysis, for nearly a decade in the tennis books,16 kinds of sports core journals and PhD thesis, objective analysis and evaluation, find out its development rule and the existing problems and provides the theory basis for academic development for the tennis project, the main results were as follows:1. Nearly 10 years our country books 307 tennis this; 303 sports core journals; PhD thesis,1007; Along with the time development with overall upward trend.2. Personal identificated scholars number accounts for more than professional sports colleges, number; Scholars comprehensive colleges accounted for less than, less identificated. Fund papers from almost all professional sports colleges and universities. Core journal were identificated and core periodical quantity of the first author scholars published a paper number has more than professional sports schools comprehensive colleges and universities.3. In the study found that the indexes of professional sports colleges and universities is higher than the comprehensive colleges and universities. Professional sports colleges and universities in the tennis plays a leading role in the academic field.4. Individual cited frequency and the h index study 20 academic, there are 13 from professional sports colleges and universities, the cited frequency is 4632, accounting for 66.6% of the total frequency of 6959, six scholars comprehensive colleges, total cited frequency of 1762, accounted for 25.3%. High cited frequency and high description of attention put on paper, paper quality, its academic influence. Agency cited in the study of frequency and h index found 16 agencies,11 for professional sports colleges, four comprehensive colleges and universities, the comprehensive colleges and universities for 242 times, the total citation rates accounted for 5.6%. Further suggests that colleges and universities in the leading position in the field of professional sports.5.
