Culture is the spirit foundation of a nation, the crystal of people’s wisdom, and the core of national soft power. The establishment of China with powerful culture and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation need the power of the spirit and cultural support. Culture is the important guarantee for us to live in the future and make our country stand the world among nations. Cultural self-confidence refers to the state, nation and political party’s fully affirmation of its culture concept and value, firm faith and confidence of the culture development, and inheritance, promotion and innovation of its culture, based on clear understanding of their own culture. College students, the successor of the comprehensive construction of well-off society and socialist modernization, are the hope of his country prosperity and mighty related to national development in the future. College students are the important carrier of culture propagation. College students’ cultural confidence has deep influence on inheritance and propaganda of the excellent traditional culture and advanced culture, which is conducive to promoting China’s culture innovation and makes the excellent culture of our country have a profound impact on the world culture. However, the current college students’ cultural confidence is faced with the challenge from the grim situation both at home and abroad. Domestic multicultural agitation, continuous "peaceful evolution" from western countries, implant of capitalist ideas with economic globalization, etc., make the college students’ cultural confidence change and cause some problems in different extent. The cultivation of the college students’ cultural confidence is an urgent and important task in the field of ideological and political education currently.Combing investigation with literature research, this article defines college students’ cultural self-confidence from the perspective of psychology knowledge, feeling, meaning and behavior, and sets up college students’ cultural confidence ideal type mode by means of previous extensive literature materials collection.Questionnaire about college students’ cultural confidence is designed and operated according to the definition of cultural confidence. Distribution and collection of questionnaire are conducted. Through investigation, study and collection of real, objective data and materials, existing problems of college students’ cultural confidence are analyzed, and the way to cultivate college students’ cultural confidence is explored, based on the understanding of the current situation of college students’ cultural confidence.Firstly, this paper is based on a large number of domestic and foreign literature, and mainly expounds the research background, research significance and current research situation at home and abroad, research ideas and methods.Based on domestic scholars for the study of cultural self-confidence has not been involved in the field, in this paper, on the basis of the innovation, which is defined cultural self-confidence from the perspective of culture, determine the cultural confidence level of confidence by cognition, emotion, consciousness and behavior of the four elements.Secondly, on the basis of previous research, this paper makes the definition of culture,and emphasizes the cultural self-confidence from the perspective of culture, and discusses what kind of confidence is the real cultural self-confidence, from cognition, emotion and meaning, the starting point of view, establish cultural self-confidence ideal type models, sets forth the necessity of cultivating college students’ cultural confidence.Then, using SPSS statistical software to analyze data, collecting data based on the investigation and research and using SPSS statistical software to analyze data, the author mainly elaborated the current condition of college students’ traditional cultural self-confidence, and the advanced cultural self-confidence, as well as their attitude towards foreign culture from the dimensions of knowledge, emotion, meaning and behavior. general characteristics of the performance of college students’ cultural confidence are also analyzed.The mainstream of college students’ cognition on our culture is positive and healthy, but tendency of diversity and utilitarian is noticed. college students have high agreement with our culture, but there are disjointed phenomenon between their knowledge and behavior. College students admit the boundless momentum of our culture in the future, but the phenomenon of blind confidence is prominent, on this basis of which, the diversity of the combination of cognition, emotion, meaning and behavior is analyzed and problems existing in the college students’ cultural confidence are extracted: low cognition and lack of culture confidence; high cognition with low behavior; High cognition with negative emotion; High cognition with low tenacity.Finally, based on the analysis of the current situation, characteristics and problems, this thesis analyzes the reasons of college students’ cultural confidence these problems from the aspects of macroscopic social structure and microscopic people’s subjective choice. And make the cogitation on the way to cultivate students’ cultural self-confidence. Aiming at the current situation of college students’ cultural confidence, the main existing problems and its causes, the way to cultivate college students’ cultural confidence is considered from the aspects of economic development, school education, family influence, social media and college students’ themselves.
