Mathematics is a science, its language is simple, abstract, accuracy and other characteristics. Be able to use mathematical language to express, exchange, elaborate and solve practical problems on the premise that the language can be a good grasp of mathematics. Mathematics Education Reform increasingly focus on training students’ ability to use mathematical language to communicate in. In view of the middle school mathematics classroom mathematical communication problems were presented, the need to find an effective way to enable students to achieve true mathematical communication. And, "Talking Math" is Student-centered,exchange and study subjects for students through participation in discovery, "Talking" campaign experience problems, propose, analyze and solve process and learn to communicate in their process, learn to think. "Talking Math" activity based teaching practice, easy to operate,it is necessary to promote the teaching of mathematics.Through the literature research, case studies, theoretical analysis, descriptive research method, this study has discussed the definition of "Talking Math",and it’s type,teaching values, practice characteristics and other issues. Moreover, how to achieve approach, teaching strategies, and issues has noted. The thesis includes four main parts:In the first part, by the analysis of Mathematical communication,we firstly defined the concept of "Talking Math" and analyzed in detail.Puting forward three practical features such as Purpose,Multi-polar body,Cooperative interaction.According to the different of content, presentation, organizational forms to elaborate the type of the "Talking Math".The second part to discuss the value of "Talking Math" from linguistic perspective,the process of knowledge perspective, the perspective of the development of individual,combined with related classroom case further to analysis "Talking Math". In the discussion, topic selection, classification of elaborate student engagement, teachers’ guide and other aspects would be noted.The third part based on the theory of teaching strategies and classroom instructioncombined with some cases to discuss the teaching strategies of Talking Math", it’s mind to create a classroom atmosphere, focusing be analyzed from the perspective of students, pay attention the summary and advocate for students, designed to carry out a theoretical reference for teachers.The fourth part designed an effective teaching case based on above theoretical analysis,combine with the teaching strategies of "Talking Math".We are delighted to provide a research direction for how to design and conduct an activity of "Talking Math".
