Research On The Development Strategy Of Shanghai Far East International School

With the increasing integration of global economy, rapid development of information technology and international exchanges between the countries, we have gradually entered the era of globalization. This is both the opportunity and challenge to the development of education. If we escape from global competition, it means not only losing a great opportunity for communication and cooperation both domestically and globally, but also losing the student appeal and social influence dramatically. Globally, many institutes attempt to develop new innovation model, improve functions of international affairs and upgrade their global level development direction. China’s education should also seize this opportunity to adapt to the times trend, move toward to globalization and develop the interdisciplinary innovative talents.Shanghai Far East International School is the school with international advanced educational philosophy, integrated educational resources and diversified international education environment. This paper analyzes the current status of Shanghai Far East International School, compares the respective characteristics with other international schools in Shanghai and summarizes the competitive strength and weakness to find the root cause in the globalization and corporate development. Also, this paper develops the Strategy, Vision and Mission of Shanghai Far East International School based on the principle of strategy management, development and human resource management. The strategy of Shanghai Far East International School is to build up a globalization alliance and through this alliance, to learn from each other, to cooperate in each aspect, to reduce the cost and risk, and eventually to leverage resource and share market opportunities. This strategy will lead us achieve premier performance with globalized management principle. Based on current status, this paper analyzes and indicates the strategic organizational measures and directions to speed up the school’s globalization development and seek to maximize the integration with international education standard.
