High School Students Self-harmony, Emotion Regulation Strategy And The Relationship Between Peer Relationship Research

At present, much attention has been paid to high school students’ mental health. We found that the students’ problems in consulting focuses on self harmony, peer relationship and emotion regulation. Research has show that they are the main factors influencing the students’ mental health. Therefore, This paper attempts to study high school students in the three aspects and the relationship between them.In this study, a total of 810 senior high school students from five middle school in Shanxi Province were investigated with three questionnaires including “Self Consistency and Congruence Scale”, “Strategies of Emotion Regulation Questionnaire” and “Peer relationships questionnaire”. The research results show that:(1) High school students have a better self harmony and peer relationships. Self flexibility of high middle school students show remarkable grade difference: the level of students from Grade 2 is higher than that of Grade 1 and Grade 3; Self harmony total score, disharmony between self and experience and self stereotype of high middle school students show remarkable difference in one-child or not: the level of students who are one-child is higher than that of others. Peer relationships of high middle school students show remarkable grade difference: the level of students from Grade 1 and Grade 3 is higher than that of Grade 2. Peer relationships of high middle school students also show remarkable difference in one-child or not: the level of students who are one-child is higher than that of others.(2)Correlation analysis showed that high middle school students’ peer relationship, self harmony and negative emotion regulation strategies are significantly related.(3)Regression analysis showed that disharmony between self and experience, Self stereotype and negative emotion regulation strategies could significantly predict the level of peer relationship.(4) The mediation effect of inspection showed that negative emotion regulation strategies can plays a mediate role between self harmony and peer relationship.
