For families, family education is one of the key issues in determining family happiness. For society and the country, good family education is the cornerstone of improving the national quality and national core competitiveness. As an individual, family education is the starting point to realize socialization. Under the background of today’s knowledge economy and an era of talent competition, significance and the value of the family education is becoming more significant, it also gets more concern and attention of all sectors of society. Along with the advancement of modernization, our country urbanization speed accelerating, urban and rural structure get adjusted, China’s farmers swarm into the city from the initial individual family labor swarm into the city gradually developed into their children following their parents swarm into the city. At the same time, these children’ education problem continuously appear, becomes the important social problems that affect the harmonious development of society to that and it should be solved immediately.This study focuses on family education problems of resident households’ children and how to intervene in family education problems of households’ children for rural through social work. The concept of rural migrant households settled in cities means the part of migrant workers who left villages with their family to cities where they settled down and the children received education. These children separate themselves from stay-at-home children in rural areas and the floating children by living in cities as their residential area. They no longer live in villages and float among cities like the floating children. They receive and accomplish their family education in cities.The paper sets resident households from Yangcun in Ruichang, Jiangxi Province as the object. And it combines literature review, questionnaire, participant observation and interviewing to analyze the characteristics and analysis on the family education for Yangcun settlers by summarizing related studies in the field and discussing the social work intervention to provide a solution to the children’s family education. The study shows that due to the environmental change, special factors and so on, some resident households from rural are confronted with some family education problems. The solution of these problems requires a multi-channel, multi-sectoral to solve and resolve, social work professional model is one of the undoubtedly important ways and means. The paper embarks discussion on this.
