Social Work Intervention On Family Education In The Rural Migrant Community

Family Education is the foundation of children’s education, where parents play an important role in the healthy growth of the children, focus on the family education problem of the children will help improve the quality and level of family education. Community Q exists some problems in family education:Because many parents usually busy working outside the home, less time and efforts are put to their children’s education; As the level of education of those parents living in the community is not so high, the children’s education might be a hard work; Children-parents communication meets obstacles for the parents do not pay too much attention to their children; The complicated environment in the community imposes bad influence on the children growth. Therefore, the author suppose that it is significantly essential to focus on the family education problem of the children living in the farmer-to-citizen community and work out an effective and professional model of social work service. In view of the above, this thesis will be based on the theories of social work and carry out researches while reviewing the theories, and with the collection and integration of all kinds of resources; the thesis will finally work out a specific plan which meets the practical situation of the community according to its own characteristics.This thesis will take the example of Community "Q" in Chenggong District, Kunming and use the action research as the main research method. And in order to collect materials, study the current situation of family education to get to know the problems and to explore the demands of family education, the thesis will collect resources by literature review, inquires and in-depth interviews. And then according the results of the research, the thesis will conduct service activities right in the community with the professional methods of social works, such as group and community work. Last but not least, the thesis will make a conclusion to the service activity and analyze the advantages and resources to conduct such kind of activity, then summarize the thesis with the reflection of the activities’deficiencies and make suggestion to the family education of the farmer-to-citizen community.
