Along with the rapid development of our economy and people’s cultural level, as an important part of the lifelong education system, a key channel of receiving lifelong and happiness learning,community education is becoming more and more highlighted in the whole national education system. In view of this, Chinese scholars are also deeply researching on community education,from the initial analysis of community education’s essential characteristics,external development conditions gradually turned to focus on promoting the fundamental methods of promoting community education, such as, teachers team construction, curriculum and resource development, etc. What’s more, in recent years, driven by it’s internal development needs and under the background of improving curriculum system, scholars have began to focus on teaching materials,which is more micro level.For the community education,teaching materials are not only the foundation of constructing perfect course, but also related to the smooth realization of education purpose,the extend of practice and consummate of theoretical.Although community education get more obvious results, relatively abundant courses, but there are many problems in developing teaching materials, the related theoretical conditions relatively backward, and also lacking of deeply think and reflection on the practice.On the basis of existing research,in this paper,we chose five community schools in Shanghai as study samples to analyze the present situation of it’s teaching materials development. Specifically, on the background of community education development in Shanghai,we integrated use literature analysis,interview method, questionnaire survey and text analysis to explore the present situation of five community schools teaching materials development.The first chapter is introduction.To describe and explain this selected topic reason, the research background and significance;the domestic and foreign related research status;the research methods and key problems.The second chapter, based on the perspective of theoretical exploration, summarizes the process of community education and its essential characteristic after China’s reforming and opening up; and further explain community education teaching materials and relationship between it and course. The third chapter,from the both sides- developers and users,in-depth analysis the teaching materials, including the the overall situation of teaching materials, the problems existing in the teaching material development, the internal elements of teaching materials, the developing conditions and resources of teaching materials, also from the teaching material texts to search development experience and inadequate. Finally,on the basis of experience, the fourth chapter,according to the existing problems, and the core idea of "people-oriented, promote learners learning lifelong",put forward the basic principles and suggestions to promote the development of community education teaching materials.
