From the perspective of cultural choice, Chinese textbook is not only the carrier that inherits native culture, but also the carrier that absorbs and learns from foreign culture. From the perspective of teaching, Chinese textbook is the basis for students to accept the humanistic education. Which kind of value tendency Chinese textbook should choose in the kinds of orientations, emotions, attitudes and values of the human spirits.Previous research based on sociology to investigate whose knowledge that Chinese textbook represent. This paper is based on the sociology of curriculum and the science of culture, draw lessons from the sociology of curriculum, through the analysis of six copies of Chinese textbooks published by East China Normal University Press in the second-round curriculum reform in Shanghai, so as to explore the value orientation of this set of textbooks and the future orientation of Chinese textbook.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction. The introduction mainly discusses the research motivation and research significance, research object and research scope, research ideas and research methods, research status of domestic and foreign review of this paper.The second part is the concepts of value orientation of Chinese Textbooks. This part mainly defines the related concepts, and the cultural traits of the Chinese textbook are simply analyzed.The third part is the research foundations of value orientation in Chinese Textbooks. This part regards Chinese culture, Chinese course standard and cognitive psychology as the theoretical foundation, and expounds the enlightenment form the theories.The fourth part is to study on value orientation of Shanghai senior high school Chinese textbook. Firstly, this part establishes the list of themes, then according to the list of themes to statistic the number of texts which occupy in the theme of political, moral, natural, knowledge, culture. And count the proportion of sub category in each theme; In addition, the research analysis the literature of country simply. Finally the research draws the conclusion of value orientation from textbooks: focus on human development, the political ideology is weak, not pay enough attention to culture, attach importance to knowledge, ignore natural theme.The fifth part is suggestion of the value orientation for textbooks. The first section is suggestions for article selection for Chinese textbook conclusion. Firstly, Increase the selection on minority culture. Secondly, coordinate cultural proportion learn from the USA textbooks. Thirdly, reflect the culture of Shanghai city. Frothy, Seep the humanistic consciousness between man and nature. The second section is to strengthen the cultural construction of Chinese Curriculum. First, the standard of Chinese course should clear the culture content, rich cultural understanding, plan the path of culture understanding. Second, Chinese textbook should increase the contemporary culture and multicultural content properly. Thirdly, teachers should guide students to carry on thinking of reading in Chinese teaching and experience cultural background to improve their language literacy.
