Chinese textbooks, contains the rich cultural factors, is a carrier of culture, to undertake the mission of the transfer and dissemination of human culture. In any country, Chinese course is basic course. The nature of the Chinese curriculum, decided the important position of Chinese textbooks. Selection is the main part of the Chinese textbooks, is the key of the writing, so the Chinese textbook writers must make a reasonable choice of selected text content, grasp the cultural orientation of Chinese textbook.Based on Chinese textbook position and role in the cultural heritage, the author is thinking:the language textbooks should assume what cultural orientation, cultural orientation elements should be passed to the students? Therefore, this study selected prentice Hall company in the United States in 2007 published a set of "literature" textbooks as the research object, analyzing the characteristics of the United States the cultural orientation of Chinese textbook, so as to our country language textbook research vision, get some beneficial enlightenment on Chinese textbooks. In the study, use this study textbook culture phenomenon analysis project schedule as the research tools, from intellectual culture, material culture, specification culture, spirit culture several category level to judge and analyze the cultural orientation of the text,This research uses the documentary method, content analysis, to explore how the junior middle school Chinese textbooks contain cultural orientation and its bring some enlightenment to our country junior middle school Chinese textbooks. The study found that the set of "literature" textbook selection American culture orientation of several significant features:moral training first; Political pursuit of freedom and democracy; Emphasis on religious feelings.There are five sections in this study:The first part is the introduction part, mainly introduced the research origin and significance of this study, the research object and scope, research ideas and methods.The second part, it is the basis of this study, first of all define the concept related to this study, Then reviews the studies textbook culture orientation of the research status at home and abroad; Finally, this paper expounds the theoretical basis of this study and the theory of this research some enlightenment.The third part, the paper introduces the American language textbook system and the structure of the "literary" textbooks.The fourth part is the main part of this study, a total of three contents. The first section in this chapter, the paper introduces the research tool of this study, cultural phenomenon analysis of the design and application of project table; In the second quarter, according to this study adopts the method of cultural theme determination, illustrate some of the "literary" textbook selection of cultural theme determination results; The third quarter, in the American cultural theme of "literature" textbook selection to statistics and analysis on the results.The fifth part, to the United States the cultural orientation of "literature" textbook evaluation, think this set of textbooks for junior middle school Chinese textbook construction in China and what revelation.Through the study of American literature textbook culture orientation, obtain the enlightenment in the present study, the language textbooks compiling should take into account the national standard of Chinese curriculum, should be conducive to the attainment of a balanced development of the students’ cultural quality; Is beneficial to society’s continuous improvement; Is advantageous to the national and ethnic cultural heritage. Based on the above analysis, this study concluded that textbook culture construction in our country, some reference opinions:selection type diversification; Focus on real life; Pay attention to the construction of knowledge system.
